The Praxis II Elementary Education Content Knowledge exam is used as part of the accreditation process for becoming a teacher. It covers the four core subjects fundamental to every child’s education. Most candidates take this test shortly before or after completing their undergraduate education. The SSAT is a standardized test whose scores are used in applications to independent schools. The Elementary Level test is given to students in third or fourth grade, and is composed of scored Reading, Quantitative (Math), and Verbal sections, as well as a Writing Sample.
